For those experiencing daily syncing problems, it is likely that these issues will diminish as more players make the switch to the NYT site. Some players, however, are still experiencing difficulties due to a glitch in the new version of the game that has resulted in their existing streaks not carrying over from the old platform.

The culprit behind this issue appears to be the PowerLanguage-hosted edition of Wordle, which some players have saved locally or accessed through cached versions in their browsers. This has led to confusion among solvers, with many reporting on Twitter that their latest Wordle solution does not align with those of other players.

Fortunately, solvers on the old word list can likely update to the new list by refreshing their browsers. According to a statement provided to ABC News' Michael Slezak, the Times is updating the word list over time to remove obscure words and keep the puzzle accessible to more people, as well as insensitive or offensive words.

While some players may have been disappointed by the removal of certain words from the game, the vast majority of disallowed words are gendered or racial slurs, or relate to potentially offensive topics. The alterations made so far have not been major, encompassing just 25 guessable words and seven daily answers.

The changes are scheduled for completion within the next 365 days, suggesting that more updates may be on the horizon in the coming year. For now, Wordle enthusiasts can rest assured that their favorite puzzle game is evolving to become more inclusive and accessible to a wider audience.
